Sleepers
The creosote in old sleepers is a harmful product, it is therefore advisable that they should not be used near vegetables, fruit trees, inside buildings or used as benches or tables.

Floorboards, wooden beams and most boards
These products contain shakes, knots and holes. Any splits, knots or similar visual imperfections in the timber will not affect the structural integrity of the product in any way. It is advisable to purchase 10% extra to allow for wastage and the character of the wood. We cannot accept returns on these items unless they are faulty. Southern Reclaim cannot be held responsible for any movement caused by moisture in timber due to it being a natural product, this can sometimes enhance the look of the timber. We also wish to point out that timber is a natural product and is prone to movement. We cannot be held responsible for movement, shrinking or expansion of our products. Over the course of time during movement of the product etc. Small knot holes may dislodge leaving a small hole or crack, unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for this maturing of the product and can only offer our best advice on how to deal with the issue.

Bricks
With years of natural weathering, the colours and shades of our reclaimed bricks are unique and the condition of each individual brick cannot be guaranteed. Please always allow for 5% wastage when purchasing reclaimed bricks. A re-handling and restocking fee of 30% of the sales value will be payable on all brick returns these returns must be made within 14 days of purchase and the customer must bring with them a receipt. Please note that carriage will not be refunded.

Special Orders
Special orders and Made to Measure Products may not be returned unless they are deemed faulty. Any prices quoted may vary without prior notice.

Retention of title
Goods sold remain the property of Southern Reclaim until paid in full. All second hand goods are sold as seen.

Deliveries
Customers ordering vehicles off the public highway do so at their own risk. Deliveries are curb side only, requesting help to move materials on a customer`s property is done so entirely at the owners risk.

Storage
Once goods are paid for they may, at the discretion of Southern Reclaim, be stored free of charge at our premises for an agreed period, not usually exceeding 2 weeks. While we will make every endeavour to keep these items securely, the risk is with the purchaser. After the agreed free storage time has elapsed Southern Reclaim retain the right to charge storage fees, or if the goods remain on our property for more 6 months without prior agreement, to resell the item without refund to the customer.

Returns
The vast majority of the goods we sell are reclaimed, salvaged or antique. It is the customer`s sole responsibility to satisfy themselves that the condition, quality, and function of any goods are suitable for the purpose intended at the time of purchase. A re-handling charge of up to 30% on multiple purchased goods will be charged for work involved and restacking, single items that deem to be satisfactory will have a 14 day full refund period after which, any returns will be at Southern Reclaim Ltd discretion. Items will only be considered for return if in the same condition, quality and quantity as first delivered. Items will not be considered for return if they have been installed, used or altered in any way, shape or form.
VAT
Prices include VAT levied at 20% when appropriate, unless otherwise indicated.
Some (but not all) of the reclaimed goods sold by Southern Reclaim Ltd are sold under the Global Margin Scheme for Second-hand Goods, whereby VAT is paid by Southern Reclaim Ltd on the difference between purchase and sale price, in these cases VAT cannot be reclaimed by the purchaser. Where this is the case this will be indicated on the invoice with Global scheme written and no Vat shown.
